Yoasobi consists of the composer Ayase, known for his activity as a Vocalo P, and the singer Ikura. Their December 2019 debut single “ Yoru ni Kakeru” reached #1 on the Billboard Japan chart, catapulting the pair to national popularity. This duo’s big break came from the Vocaloid scene. Today he represents a mainstream Japanese pop artist. In 2012, he launched a new career as a vocalist under his own name. Yonezu began his career as a Vocalo P in 2009, posting his original Vocaloid songs under the name Hachi. His latest album, Stray Sheep, came out in August of 2020 and secured the #1 spot on the Billboard Japan hit chart. Perhaps the most well known is the singer-songwriter Yonezu Kenshi.
